  • Bathing assistance
  • Dressing
  • Grooming
  • Incontinence Care
  • Meal Preparation and feeding assistance if needed
  • Medication Reminders

Q: Is In Home Senior Care licensed?

Yes, In Home Senior Care is licensed by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services.

Q: Are In Home Senior Care caregivers insured?

Yes, In Home Senior Care is insured for an added peace of mind. Our caregivers are carefully screened throughout the hiring process. We are here to protect clients and their belongings should an unexpected liability occur. We provide ongoing supervision of our employees in the field.

Q: What types of screening does a In Home Senior Care caregiver undergo?

In Home Senior Care thoroughly processes and screens all applicants prior to offering them employment. All applicants must have a minimum of one year of verifiable experience at providing care for an elderly client. The screening process includes:

  • Criminal History check and verification
  • Misconduct registry check
  • Nurse Aide registry check
  • Minimum of two positive Employment Reference verifications
  • Thorough interview and competency assessment

Q: Is In Home Senior Care staff accessible anytime of the day or night?

In Home Senior Care has staff members available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are always just a phone call away.

Q: Who is involved in developing the care plan?

A plan of care could be developed during the free assessment with the Director of Care Management and with you and your family. The assessment is done in your home or home setting (Assistant Living or Nursing Home) to determine the care needed and duration. The plan of care is completely customized to meet the daily living needs and is flexible to increase or decrease as needed.

Q: Will it always be the same person who comes to the house to provide care?

If the plan of care calls for a set schedule we will assign a primary caregiver to the case. We also like to orientate and have a secondary caregiver as a back up in case the primary caregiver has to call out this way another provider is familiar with the client and the services to perform.

Q: If I am not happy with the caregiver am I able to replace them with another caregiver?

We understand some personalities might not be compatible. During the assessment we try to get enough information to determine the type of caregiver to send. If for some reason you decide you would like to try another caregiver all you have to do is contact the staffing supervisor and a replacement will be sent out as soon as possible.

Q: Does the rate go up if I need overnight or weekend care?

The rate does not change whether it is days, nights, or weekends. The only time the rate increases is during scheduled Holidays. A week prior to Holidays the office will call and notify you and you could determine if you want services that day or want to reschedule.

Q: Are there associated fees with changing the care plan?

In Home Senior Care does not charge to make changes on the care plan unless services change from an individual to a couple rate or multiple personal hygiene services are added like bathing assistance and incontinence care. The care plans are tailored to meet the daily living needs whether services are increasing or decreasing. We are here to help you or your loved one.

Louis has been ideal. Mom enjoys her. She called and asked if I needed to do anything around the house. When I got home Mom look as good as I seen her in the past seven years. All the beds were made and the dishes were washed and put away.
What a blessing.
Thank you so much
